The Mission of the National Association for Uniformed Services

Protect the hard-earned benefits of uniformed servicemembers, veterans, retirees, their families and survivors, while promoting a strong national defense.

NAUS acts as the Servicemember's Voice in Government, representing our members' interests to Washington - not Washington's interests to our members.

The purpose of the Association is:

  • To develop and support activities which promote the general well-being of the members of the uniformed services - active duty, retired and veteran - and their families and survivors;
  • To support a strong national defense;
  • To foster esprit-de-corps among the uniformed personnel and veterans of the United States; and
  • To preserve the memories and traditions of the uniformed services.

Non-profit Organization providing Non-partisan Representation

NAUS is chartered under Internal Revenue Service Code Section 501(c)(19) - veterans organizations - allowing for extensive non-partisan representation and lobbying activities by our professional staff on Capitol Hill. This ensures that the concerns of our members are heard and acted on. Join NAUS today

Unique Membership - Unique Approach

NAUS is the only military affiliated Association whose membership is open to the entire military/veteran family - all branches of uniformed service (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, USPHS and NOAA, Guard & Reserve), and all ranks and grades, regardless of length of service.

As the only such Association with its own Political Action Committee (NAUS-PAC) [link to What We Do - PAC section], NAUS is able to use this additional avenue of access to elected officials and candidates to make the views of our members count even more.
